  1. There are lots of other baseball teams to pay attention to. Plus, that sport with the funny-shaped ball will be starting soon.

  2. Bledisloe Cup - yearly NZ v AUS rugby competition - is happening right now. It's a best of 3 series every fall.

Australia hasn't held the cup since they lost the 2003 series.

First 2021 Match was Saturday SelectShow
  3. European soccer leagues have been starting up (Champions and Europa leagues have had games for a month or so) so its nice to have that midday weekday live sports event and on weekends having something to wake up to. ESPN+ is totally worth it for that (plus they carry a ton of MLS action and seem to have 1 MLB game a day). I signed up for Paramount+ and really had no issues with their soccer stuff (Brazil and Argentina and Scotland soccer plus the UEFA stuff)

    1. We've adapted pretty well to no Twins on TV. I get to see ten games a month at the ballpark and we listen on the radio. When there's a non-BSN TV option we exercise it. Once in a while we hit BWW for a burger, beer and ballgame. This turned out to be a good year to not care about seeing them play every day.

      1. Hopefully they create a program to help introduce to the kids, or this will go nowhere.

          1. teaching kids life skills like understanding betting lines and what the vig is, these are important.

            1. If kids want to be able to enjoy the modern game when they're 18, they better learn all of it so they can hit the jackpot at the in-stadium sports book!
