    1. Not really a fan of either guy. Even though everyone is agreeing it is real, it still reeks as staged to me. If it is staged... not funny. If it is real... lame. I am seeing a lot of comedians come out and say Smith has opened the door for other people to approach the stage and assault comedians. My take is this: Comedians have, over and over, crossed the line when it comes to attacking both those who deserve it and those who don't in their material. I agree physically assaulting someone in public (or private) is shameful and best. However, the verbal assault that these comedians make on other people is also shameful. Everyone thinks it is funny until they are in the crosshairs of the joke. No winners in this situation. Both losers, in my opinion.

      1. Based on Chris Rock's acting in other movies, I'd say it is real.

Gervais might be mean but his targets are usually more deserving. I thought Rock's joke was pretty bad but what Smith did was much worse.

      2. There’s no reason for this to be staged. Both guys came out looking much worse as far as the average person is concerned. There would be no reason for either to do such a thing.

        1. I agree with you, yet "the slap" itself just looked staged. Also, to be fair... to be fair... to be fair... something, something, pro wrestling. 🙂

            1. A true gentleman would have folded up his white fancy gloves and slapped him with those.

            2. And, and I cannot stress this enough, lead to one of the greatest days on Twitter in history.

    1. Bummer about it being an arena show. I’ve pretty much sworn off all hockey rink shows. I will say their 2000 (?) gig at Northrup—3rd row center—easily a Top 10 concert experience for me. Maybe Top 5. Their catalogue is unassailable.

  1. twins sign archer.

    1. He won't be an ace, but if he's healthy he should be a legitimate major league starting pitcher, and the Twins don't have an over-abundance of those.

        1. Agreed. At the very least he's a competent placeholder until our upcoming prospects have aged to maturity. Also, I still hope there's more in our future.
