Brewers have no-hit the Yankees over nine innings but still no score.
They finally scored one in the eleventh. One more hitless inning left.
Jaxed again. I don't care how good his stuff looks or what the numbers say, he just does not have enough bulldog in him.
And the numbers say....
Last 7 games = 5.2 IP, 11.12 ERA, 1.59 WHIP
Last 15 games = 12.2 IP, 8.53 ERA, 1.66 WHIP
Last 30 games = 27 IP, 5.00 ERA, 1.26 WHIP
He is clearly trending in the wrong direction.
FIP of 2.53, 4.68, and 4.49 over the same number of games. Not good for the longer time periods but not awful.
Maybe I just happen to see all of his worst outings and it's given me an observation bias.
The high ERA indicates overall poor results while the better FIP indicates a better process. He doesn't strike me as an eighth inning guy though, maybe mid-late right now. The bullpen really lacks quality depth.
