Someone called my work phone trying to sell me propane and propane accessories (though they didn't use that exact wording).

Ratboys – Making Noise for the One You Love
2023 saw a lot of excellent new albums from bands with a female lead and dudes playing indie rock. Bully, Wednesday, Blondeshell all had amazing albums (and local shows). Bully and Wednesday also made the 2023 Summer Mix. Ratboys also had a great new album and I really like this opening song.

December 11, 2023: Relic
I was reading a book for Rick and in it, a stinky situation arose. A character in that book used a clothespin to mitigate the circumstances. Rick asked what that thing was, and I realized that's a thing he will probably never see in real life. Likely to be many more of those to come.

Bee Balm Fields – Whiskey Walkin’
Based in Mankato, Bee Balm Field released Whiskey Walkin' off the local Round Bale Recordings label in August and its been a constant in my music rotation since. The album is a mixture of Americana and Blues and Rock. I couldn't find a decent live performance of title track so here is their video for "Whiskey Walkin' "

Pitcher Rudy Hernandez was a member of the old Washington franchise in 1960, but was chosen by the new Washington franchise in the expansion draft in December of 1960.
Jaime Jarrin was the Dodgers' Spanish-language broadcaster from 1959-2022. For all the accolades Vin Scully received (and they were deserved), it would have been nice if Jarrin had gotten a little more attention.
Tim Kurkjian has been a baseball writer/reporter since 1978.
We would also like to wish a happy birthday to Moss' son.
