Poor Brent Rooker. Not only does he have to play for the worst franchise in the game, but he doesn’t make the All-Star roster with the eighth highest wRC+ and seventh highest OPS+ in the league.
I tend to not get too upset these days because a lot more players make it in as an injury replacement eventually.
I know set-up guys have almost no chance, but I am a little disappointed for Griffen Jax. He has been great.
Jax has achieved optimal bulldog, and his stuff is even better than last year. An ERA and FIP below 2.00 and a WHIP lower than 1.00 is hard to come by. He's getting a lot of strikeouts, isn't walking many and is very stingy with the long ball this year. Mos def All-Star caliber.
