September 23, 2024: The Last Place You Look

Before this year's eclipse I was trying to find the glasses that I still had from the last eclipse. I knew they were in the garage somewhere, but couldn't find them after tearing through everything. They were nicer ones too (plastic frames instead of paper). I eventually gave up an ordered new ones before they all sold out. Naturally I just found them again. They somehow ended up in a box of random grilling implements. Oh well. Guess I better save them for 2044*!

*There's one in Japan in 2035 that I might consider trying to get to.

Indianapolis took a 7-0 lead in the second, but St. Paul tied it 7-7 after four.  Ji Hwan Bae singled home the deciding run in the sixth inning.

Multi-hit games:  DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.  Jair Camargo was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Carson McCusker was 2-for-4.

Home runs:  Jeferson Morales (1).

Multi-RBI games:  Morales 3 (7); Keirsey, Jr. 2 (81).

Stolen bases:  None.

Pitching prowess:  Travis Adams pitched three innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk and striking out one.  Giovanny Gallegos pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.  Steven Okert struck out two in a perfect inning.

Loss:  Adams (0-2).

Opposition standout:  Andres Alvarez was 3-for-3 with a triple and a walk.

Record:  St. Paul is 32-42, in ninth place, 16.5 games behind Columbus.
