Seeing nothing, here goes:
11am: NGAARG and BIHIRN
3pm: HONSUI and ECUFRA
In these first matches, I have NGA 1 - 3 ARG and BIH 1 - 0 IRN.
I'll get the other leaderboard picks up in a minute.

I've made a playlist of everyone's nominations and I've started to listen to it.
Turns out we like a lot of widely different things.
Barring disaster or lethargy, I should have it sequenced and trimmed to 79:59 (or less) by next week.
Now, back to your regular random 10 business...
Seems I'm as good at putting together a WGOM summer mix as I am at voting for the Half-Bakef Hall of Fame.
So...
Last week to nominate songs for the summer mix!
I decided to make a second request for summer-mix nominations.
(Read: I was too busy to wrap this up last week.)
Spoiler a ranked list of three songs. 1 is all-but-guaranteed to show up, and 2 and 3 may depending on space, ordering, variety, and editorial discretion.
By this time of year, I'm typically sweating what to put on the summer mix. My constraints are tighter than Philo's: all new music, hopefully with a clean version available or with the cussing not too prominent (I slipped in some $#!+ via Mikal Cronin's "Shout It Out" last year).
But this year, I'm not gonna stress it. If I don't get a summer mix made, I'm fine with it. I'll just listen to these two songs and the related album over and over if I want to.* I'll play the kids some instrumental dub or something.
*Does this mean I should check out Ke$ha?
I'll still listen to summer mix rec's though. What you got?
I should have remembered to do this last night. Let's discuss some music!
I just came across these mid-90s hip-hop music video programs last night.
EAR will be dog-sitting for her sister for much of the weekend (payback for so much child care), so I may just dial these up instead of watching a movie or something. Continue reading Friday Music Day: May 16, 2014
It's been more than a week now, but I'm still thinking of that show.
She needs to get a guitar that stays tuned or something. There was so much momentum-draining dead time between some songs.
Maybe other venues have spoiled me, but the sound seemed really muddy.
She's a great performer with great songs, and that was a really good show. I don't mean to be so harsh, but it could have easily been so much better for me.
I should have set this up before I went to the Lydia Loveless concert. Please use the space below to share ten random tracks or talk about music some.
It went well. I noticed HPR fading a few times but nothing too bad.
Stetson played a new song with Sarah Neufeld (the opener) that was so many different kinds of awesome.
Oh, and a new Bobby Bare Jr CD showed up in the mail!
