I decided to make a second request for summer-mix nominations.
(Read: I was too busy to wrap this up last week.)
Spoiler a ranked list of three songs. 1 is all-but-guaranteed to show up, and 2 and 3 may depending on space, ordering, variety, and editorial discretion.

Couple of shows I could be interested in: Diarrhea Planet June 18 -- 7th Street Entry; Old 97s June 20th -- First Avenue. My first choice is the DP show on the 18th.
I was going to get DP tickets but discovered as I was in the check out screen that I am going to be in Omaha at the CWS that night.
#humblebrag
Heh, bragging about being a click away from buying tickets I can't use
That was the humble part. Going to CWS is the brag.
Old 97s are touring with Lydia Loveless right now, but then not any more before they get here.

1. I hate this guy's voice. I don't know why I have this song.
10/B - Those coming up next to each other makes a neat little theme, I suppose. Neat might not be the right word.
Lots of Rilo Kiley. I first became aware of them when "With Arms Outstretched" was featured in the closing scenes of the series finale of Weeds.
I love Rilo Kiley (and Jenny Lewis, separately - though I think her songwriting is missing a little something apart from the band). "Portions For Foxes" is one of my favorite songs.
1. Heh.
1. I hate this guy's voice. I don't know why I have this song.
Good lord. Not sure we can be friends, Phil.
I know a lot of people like him, but his voice just grates on me. I fully accept that this is one of those "it's just me" moments. I don't have any good reasons or anything. I also don't like olives.
Well olives are awful, so it's understandable to dislike them.
You are both commies. Olives rock.
I am married to a Canadian who doesn't like olives either, so I take no offense to this commie remark.
This is why 'murica can't have nice things.
Zack, Enemy of the State.
hey, those aren't weeds in Mr. Eagle's right talons. Olive branches, baby. Love 'em or leave 'em. 'murica!!!111one1111!!!
Olive branches, not the disgusting food they produce.
I always suspected your loyalty, what with the footy and sh!t. You are on the list.
I also don't like Neil Young.
Now you've rejected America AND Canada!
Unfollow.
Phyllo's on
A playlist to take one's mind off the Timberwolves losing their franchise player. (Again.)
Several of these are a little too close to the mark...
The first song is mislabeled I'm pretty sure it is actually a Simple Plan cover some something but the lyrics aren't coming up in the webs right away.
Track 15 is Days of the Week by Stone Temple Pirates - Thanks Shaazam for 50%.
Nevermind found it:

Although the version I have is faster live version, also not a cover from what I can tell.

My music playback device was also doing something strange this morning.

Yea, yea.
AMR would be happy to note that a guy approached me at the West End yesterday because I was wearing a Modest Mouse shirt and he started trying to talk to me about the Meat Puppets. Very strange.

Summer Mix!
#2 has made a past list of mine.
Realistically, it's number one, but I figured my number 1 was less likely to make a bunch of lists (I never checked last Friday to see what sort of list we'd have).
Not normally in my wheelhouse, but my first couple times through #3 have been enjoyable so far.
Nor normally in mine, either. In fact, the first time through it, I turned it off about halfway through. That song does have an intoxicating effect, though. I was just sitting here a couple of hours ago thinking "I should really listen to that again".
Yeah, the first time I had it on as BGM and was pretty unimpressed. However, I've gone jogging with it a couple times, and listening to it more closely has revealed a rich tapestry.
Here's my summer mix songs. I stuck to 2014 songs in order to make the list easier.
Beast of Burden - Rollings Stones Some Girls
I Fought the Law - The Clash The Singles
Groove is in the Heart - Deee-LiteWorld Clique
Stumblin In - Suzi Quatro
Red Dragon Tattoo - Fountains of Wayne Utopia Parkway
Get Lucky - Daft Punk Random Access Memory
Oh, Boy! - Buddy Holly
Jungleland - Bruce Springsteen Born to Run
Lucid Dreams - Franz Ferdinand Tonight:Franz Ferdinand
Valentine - The Replacements Pleased To Meet Me
I now must listen to Deee-Lite - a little of it goes a long way with me but it has been a while.
When you say that it almost sounds like you listen to more than that single.
I added a ton of music to my playlist today . . . and very little of it is on this list. Ah, well.
1. "Children's Work" Dessa A Badly Broken Code
2. "Call Off Your Ghost" Dessa Parts of Speech

8. "Your Lips Are Red" St. Vincent Marry Me
9. "Scotty Says" Courtney Barnett The Double EP: A Sea of Split Peas
10. "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart" Wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
