A couple of weeks into summer vacation, the only thing on Skim's mind is how much she misses school. Well, I'll take that attitude for as long as I can get it, I guess.

My parking spot, for some reason, attracts all kinds of folks who think they can park wherever they want in this place. Even if there are four open spots in a row, it's mine they take. It's almost funny enough not to be annoying.

Last night, Sour Cream made it until about 10:15 on her first overnight away from the house. I was surprised the little one lasted even that long. Luckily, the friend lives in our complex, so collecting her was a snap.

My Sour Cream is in swimming lessons now and seems to be progressing quickly. I'm glad these things are at 9:30, because a couple of hours later the heat is unbearable.

A cover of "Everybody Hurts" by The Corrs has been stuck in my head all evening. I probably haven't even heard that cover more than two or three times.

Yesterday was one of those days off where I end up doing more work than I would have at work. I get too many of those these days...

My daughter told me last night that my wife's birthday is today and I about puked before I had to remind her she was off by a month. Crisis averted.
