Thanks for the suggestion yesterday, Runner. I've always liked them enough to keep them on my radar but haven't sought their stuff out in ages.

My mother-in-law may need a screening process when she buys books for my daughters. I've read a lot of seriously poorly-written books to them in the past couple of months. Some even have punctuation errors on every few pages. It's like she personally knows the authors and they're handing us the first drafts. Oy.

I haven't really been feeling the itch until now, but with the naming of Hicks as the starting center fielder, I'm ready for some baseball to start. Seven days left.

I think I deserve my first ever cup of coffee. The boy just slept eight straight hours and I feel fantastic.

I'm watching MST3K and going to sleep. The girls stayed up for a while, so I think I may get to sleep in, which isn't the usual deal. Let's hope against hope.

Last month's performance by my department means that today's paycheck will be almost double the usual size. Drinks are on me!

As often lately, I have to do something for work on my "day off." At least I can do it on my couch.
