Daniel Turpen was acquired from Colorado as the player to be named later.

Mazatlan 7, Hermosillo 0 in Mazatlan.  Anthony Slama struck out two in a scoreless inning for Mazatlan.

VENEZUELAN LEAGUE

Aragua 5, Lara 1 in Lara.  Jose Mijares got the win with two perfect innings.

Magallanes 2, Anzoategui 1 in Anzoategui.  Pedro Guerra allowed a run on two hits and a walk for Magallanes.

AUSTRALIAN LEAGUE

Perth 6, Brisbane 1 in Brisbane (Game 1--Scheduled 7 innings).  Rory Rhodes was 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI for Brisbane.

Perth 6, Brisbane 5 in Brisbane (Game 2--9 innings--Scheduled 7 innings).  Rory Rhodes was 0-for-4 for Brisbane.

Escogido 9, Este 6 in Escogido.  Pedro Florimon was 3-for-4 with a triple, scoring twice and driving in two, for Escogido.

Cibao 6, Oriente 3 in Oriente.  Alexi Casilla was 3-for-5 with a double and a triple, scoring twice, for Cibao.  Esmerling Vasquez pitched 1.1 innings, giving up an unearned run on a hit, for Oriente.

PUERTO RICAN LEAGUE

Caguas 6, Ponce 2 in Ponce.  Deinys Suarez started and went 3.1 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks.

Mayaguez 9, Carolina 2 in Carolina.  Eddie Rosario was 0-for-3 for Mayaguez.

VENEZUELAN LEAGUE

Caracas 5, Aragua 1 in Caracas.  Josmil Pinto was used as a reserve for Aragua but did not bat.  Cesar Ciurcina pitched a scoreless inning for Aragua, giving up a hit and a walk.

Perth 3, Brisbane 2 in Brisbane.  Rory Rhodes was 0-for-1 with two walks and a sacrifice bunt for Brisbane.
