Sia – The Greatest
Well done.

Ryley Walker – The Halfwit in Me
Just heard of this guy the other day. Not too bad.
Sturgill Simpson – A Call To Arms
(No good version of this exist on YT, only crappy ones like the one I had to use for this post. Please click the following link to appreciate it in the proper HD format: Sturgill Simpson - A Call To Arms)
Okay, okay, yeah, we just featured this song. Sorry. 3 reasons I'm playing this:
- We Play A Lot Of Sturgill Simpson.
- This recent SNL gig was pretty much the answer to his curious introduction to the rest of America (Heh, he loves Blonde. We have so much in common). I mean, check it, there's no way we couldn't play it. Like a gritful veteran legger-outer, he [redacted]in knocked it out of the park.
- Again, we just played this, but hell, today of all days, we should probably consider it again (NOFZ).
PJ Harvey – The Wheel
Thought I might've played this earlier...guess not. So I'll play it now.
The Jam – Ghosts
For the Painter.
1982
Diana Ross – We Shall Overcome
Nina Simone – Why? (The King of Love is Dead)
We must never let love die.
This song was written and first performed at the Westbury Music Festival three days after the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. Below is that original performance in full:

Boredoms – Super Go!!!!!
For putting up with my super half-baked theme week, here's a band that's actually from Japan!!!!!
MISIA – 眠れぬ夜は君のせい
When I was in school over there, this song was all over the place. Good times...
Any music majors know which scale she's climbing up in the chorus there?
