Let's take a break from 80s white boys.
Wow, they gave Michael a full 10 minutes during the Grammys.
Was gonna play something off the record from last year, but I fell down a Hot Chip video hole and came up with this instead
We're starting to get into the season for dance recitals. My oldest two kids dance, and their theme this year is "Broadway". Aquinas gets to dance to "Just Can't Wait to Be King" and Aristotle gets "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow."
As themes for dance recitals go, it's not the worst. I mean, last year's was "Take it from the top" and I still don't know really what that meant.
So today let's talk Dance Recitals. What was your first dance song? Theme? What theme would you choose for a dance recital? What song would you love to perform a dance to?
I know this topic might not be our usual song and dance, but I think that kind of makes it fun, right?
From Mackey's wordless opera, "Orpheus Reborn".
Oh, yeah. Apparently the Pet Shop Boys have a new album out. It's getting rave reviews, but I can't seem to find a live cut.
It's my week at the controls, for better or worse. I figure that we will start the week on a bit more of a subdued note. This is my favorite song from the most recent Chromatics album, Kill for Love. Their music always reminds me of the haze that rolls around in your brain when you're up late at night (which I love) or when you're up early in the morning (which I loathe).
Seeing as most Monday mornings are lost in this haze, I figured this would be a fitting way to kick off the week. I hope you enjoy.
i can't wait until i can watch labyrinth with the boy.
One look at the audience in this video will give you the wrong idea about who these guys are...okay, maybe the audience is a fair representation, but try not to hold it against me.
