ESTE 3, ESCOGIDO 1 IN ESTE

TwinsPedro Florimon (Escogido) was 0-for-2 with a sacrifice bunt.

Game summary:  Escogido scored in the third, but Este got single runs in the fourth, sixth, and seventh.

Escogido:  Wilkin Castillo (Colorado) was 2-for-2 with a double, a home run, and a walk.  Randy Keisler gave up one run on three hits and two walks in four innings.

Este:  Charlie Blackmon (Colorado) was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.  Claudio Vargas (Milwaukee) worked three shutout innings.

AGUILAS 14, LICEY 12 IN LICEY (10 INNINGS)

Game summary:  Aguilas scored nine in the first, but Licey got back in it with seven in the third.  A two-run ninth tied the score for Licey, but Chris Coghlan (Miami) hit a two-run homer in the tenth to win it for Aguilas.  Each team used ten pitchers.

Aguilas:  Coghlan was 4-for-6 with two doubles and two home runs, scoring four times and driving in three.  Miguel Tejada was 2-for-6 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in three.

Licey:  Donell Linares was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  Juan Francisco (Atlanta) was 2-for-3 with a home run and a walk, driving in two.

CIBAO 7, ORIENTE 4 IN CIBAO

Game summary:  Cibao scored three in the first.  Oriente never got closer than two runs.

Oriente:  Ed Rogers was 2-for-4 and scored once.  Nelson Perez (Cubs) hit a two-run homer.

Cibao:  Erick Abreu (Houston) retired all seven men he faced, striking out four.  Marcell Ozuna (Miami) was 2-for-4 with two home runs, driving in four.
