There were no games played in the Puerto Rican League playoffs yesterday. Here are the standings so far:
Mayaguez, 5-2
Caguas, 4-3
Santurce, 3-4
Carolina, 2-5
Five games remain in the round-robin portion of the playoffs, with the top two teams advancing to a best-of-seven series.
Samuel Deduno is in mid-season form.
Guasave and Mexicali join Culiacan in the second round. One of the losing teams will join them, but I don't know yet which one.
Both games were decided by the last at-bat. Well, I guess technically every game is decided by the last at-bat, but you know what I mean.
