October 12, 2013: Stretch

I'm beginning a five-day stretch where I don't have to be a salesman. I work two days, but they're overnight preparation for the peak season. I love selling, but this will be a nice temporary change.

    1. Asked Friday, prior to his team's American League Championship Series workout at Fenway Park, if he plans on retiring after the 2014 season, Hunter said: "Nope. I think I'm going to play five more years. I'm 28, man!"

I'm not going to blame anyone about talking about something when they are directly asked about it.

      1. right. I get that.
But in his farewell tour with the Twins, he was asked about his contract in every city he visited.
Here, he hasnt even finished year 1 of his Tigers contract and he is being asked about where he is going after that deal is done. Reporters cant let it go, Hunter keeps feeding the fire.

  1. Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann on the Met today - very nice.

Saw this at the Lyric Opera in Chicago last year (Oct) and really enjoyed it.

  2. I posted it on the book of faces yesterday, but I'll post it here as well. We welcomed Regina Margaret yesterday at 4:56 pm. She weighed in at 6 lbs, 4 oz and was 19" tall. Mom is doing well, and we very much appreciated the prayers and good wishes!
