Dominican Digest: Games of 10/22

A solid day for Chris Herrmann.  Lots of offense in the Dominican.

AGUILAS 10, ORIENTE 6 IN ORIENTE

Twins:  Danny Santana (Aguilas) was 1-for-6 and scored once.  Chris Herrmann (Oriente) was 1-for-3 with a walk and a double, scorrinng onnce and drrivinng in onne.

Aguilas:  Audry Perez (St. Louis) was 2-for-5 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in two.  Mike Bianucci (Texas) was 2-for-2 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.  Alexis Gomez was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs.

Oriente:  Leandro Castro (Philadelphia) was 2-for-5 with an RBI.  Nelson Perez was 1-for-2 with two walks and a two-run homer, scoring twice.  Frankie De La Cruz (Milwaukee) struck out four in three shutout innings, allowing one hit and two walks.

The game:  Three singles and three walks led to a four-run first for Aguilas.  Oriente cut the lead to 5-4 and 7-6, but could never quite catch up.  In the seventh, a two-run double by Perez was the highlight of a three-run inning that put the game out of reach for Aguilas.

LICEY 18, ESTE 8 IN LICEY

Este:  Cesar Puello (Mets) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer.  Jordan Pacheco (Colorado) was 2-for-4 with a double and a run.  Ricardo Nanita (Toronto) was 2-for-2 with a run and an RBI.

Licey:  Yamaico Navarro (Baltimore) was 3-for-4 with a walk, a triple, and a home run (his second), scoring four times and driving in three.  Sean Halton (Milwaukee) was 3-for-5 with a double and a home run, scoring twice and driving in four.  Juan Francisco (Milwaukee) was 3-for-5 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in three.

The game:  Licey scored two in the first, three in the second, and eight in the third, building a 13-0 lead.
