Justin Haley makes an excellent rehab start.  A big day for Max Murphy.  Home runs giveth and home runs taketh away for the Miracle.  Clark Beeker is let down by his defense.  The E-Twins lose it late.  Seven unearned runs sink the GCL Twins.  Walks hurt the DSL Twins

ROCHESTER 4, LEHIGH VALLEY 1 IN LEHIGH VALLEY

A wild pitch scored one in the third, Edgar Corcino tripled and scored in the fifth, and an error plated two more in the seventh.  The lone IronPig run came in the ninth.  They brought the tying run to the plate with two out, but a strikeout ended the game.

Justin Haley made a fine rehab start, going five shutout innings and giving up three hits and no walks with two strikeouts.  He threw 65 pitches and now has an ERA of 2.08 with a WHIP of 0.85.  Craig BreslowAlex Wimmers, and Michael Tonkin each pitched a scoreless inning, with Tonkin dropping his ERA to 1.93 with 32 strikeouts in 23.1 innings.  J. B. Shuck was 2-for-4 with a double.  Edgar Corcino was 1-for-4 with a triple and is batting .067.

CHATTANOOGA 9, JACKSONVILLE 3 IN CHATTANOOGA

RBI singles by Andy Wilkins and T. J. White in the fifth gave the Lookouts a 5-3 lead.  Chattanooga then scored three in the sixth to put the game out of reach.

Kohl Stewart struck out seven in six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk.  Randy Rosario struck out two in two shutout innings to make his ERA 1.72 with a WHIP of 0.95.  Luke Bard pitched a scoreless inning to make his ERA 2.57 with 66 strikeouts in 42 innings.  Max Murphy was 4-for-5 with a triple and a double.  Jonathan Rodriguez was 3-for-5 with a double and is batting .304.  White was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.  Wilkins was 2-for-5.  Alex Perez was 1-for-4 and is batting .326.

CHARLOTTE 4, FORT MYERS 3 IN CHARLOTTE

Mitchell Kranson and Sean Miller hit home runs as the Miracle built a 3-0 lead through three.  Brett Sullivan hit a three-run homer in the fourth to tie it 3-3.  It stayed there until the ninth, when Ryan Boldt homered to win it for the Stone Crabs.

David Fischer pitched four innings, giving up three runs on two hits and four walks with three strikeouts.  Kranson's homer was his second.  Jermaine Palacios was 1-for-3 and is batting .306.

WEST MICHIGAN 3, CEDAR RAPIDS 0 IN WEST MICHIGAN

The Whitecaps scored two in the first on one hit, getting two walks and two errors.  Cole Bauml singled in a run in the third.  The Kernels again had only three hits and made four errors.

Clark Beeker struck out five in five innings, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks.  His ERA is now 2.66.  Ryan Mason struck out two in two shutout innings, making his ERA 1.38.  Colton Davis pitched a scoreless inning and has an ERA of 1.91 with 42 strikeouts in 42.1 innings.

BURLINGTON 5, ELIZABETHTON 3 IN BURLINGTON

Colton Waltner hit a two-run double in the fourth and Matt Contreras singled home a run in the sixth to give the Twins a 3-1 lead.  It was 3-2 after seven, but Dennicher Carrasco hit a two-run homer in the eighth and Jose Marquez singled in a run later in the inning to put the Royals up 5-3.  The Twins opened the ninth with two walks and a bunt moved the runners to second and third, but a strikeout and a ground out ended the game.

Charlie Barnes struck out five in five innings, giving up an unearned run on three hits and three walks.  His ERA is 1.72 with 18 strikeouts in 15.2 innings.  The Twins had just two hits, both mentioned above.  Contreras was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .370.  Jordan Gore was 0-for-3 and is  batting .371.

GCL RED SOX 9, GCL TWINS 2 AT TWINS

The Red Sox scored two in the third and five in the fourth to take control early.  None of those runs were earned.  The Twins scored single runs in the fifth and sixth but never threatened to get back into the game.

Petru Balan struck out five in three innings, giving up two unearned runs on four hits and two walks.  Zach Featherstone struck out two in two shutout innings to keep his ERA at zero with a WHIP of 0.80 in five innings.  Humberto Maldonado was 2-for-4 with a double.  Royce Lewis was 0-for-4 and is batting .316.  Kidany Salva was 0-for-4 and is now hitless in ten at-bats.  Jared Akins was 0-for-3 and is batting .095.

DSL PHILLIES RED 8, DSL TWINS 4 AT TWINS

The Twins scored two in the first, but the Phillies Red tied it with two in the second.  The Phillies Red drew four walks on their way to scoring three runs in the third to take a 5-2 lead.  The Twins cut the lead to 5-4 in the eighth and had the bases loaded with two out, but a strikeout ended the inning.  The Phillies Red scored three in the ninth to put the game out of reach.

Luis Bellorin struck out five in 2.1 innings, but allowed five runs on three hits and two walks.  Robert Gutierrez pitched 2.2 scoreless innings despite walking four.  Steven Cruz pitched three shutout innings.  Juan Martinez was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .347.  Yeremi De La Cruz was 2-for-4.  Samuel Vasquez was 2-for-5 with two doubles.  Alberoni Nunez was 2-for-5 and is batting .330.  Agustin Marte was 2-for-5 and is batting .308.  Yeltsin Encarncion was 0-for-2 and is batting .364.  Estamy Urena was 0-for-3 with two walks and is batting .337.
