Minor Details: Games of April 8

Very little offense across the board.  The Red Wings still just want to get a game in.

BUFFALO AT ROCHESTER

Snowed out.

BIRMINGHAM 4, CHATTANOOGA 0 IN CHATTANOOGA (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

Birmingham scored two in the first and two in the sixth despite going 0-for-6 with men in scoring position.  The first-inning runs scored on a sacrifice fly and a ground out.  The sixth-inning runs came on three walks, a hit batsman, and a double play.

LaMonte Wade was 1-for-1 with two walks.  Nick Gordon was 1-for-3.  Randy LeBlanc struck out five in five innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk.

BIRMINGHAM 4, CHATTANOOGA 2 IN CHATTANOOGA (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)

Seby Zavala homered in a two-run second and Jameson Fisher hit a two-run homer in the fifth.  The Lookouts finally got on the board for the day with two in the sixth.

Tanner English was 1-for-3 with a triple.  The Lookouts had only nine hits in the day's fourteen innings.  Lewis Thorpe struck out five in 4.1 innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and a walk.  Omar Bencomo pitched 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and three walks and striking out one.

CHARLOTTE 4, FORT MYERS 1 IN CHARLOTTE

RBI doubles by Nathaniel Lowe and Jesus Sanchez gave Charlotte a 2-1 lead after four.  Miles Mastrobuoni provided some insurance with a two-run triple in the eighth.

Jaylin Davis was 2-for-4 with a home run.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 2-for-4.  Brady Anderson pitched six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and no walks and striking out three.
