LaMonte Wade hit a two-run homer in the fifth to give the Lookouts a 3-2 lead. Brent Rooker hit a two-run double in the seventh to provide some insurance.
Wade was 2-for-3 with a walk and scored twice. His home run was his fifth and he is batting .300. Edgar Corcino was 2-for-4 with a home run, his third. Nick Gordon was 2-for-4 and is batting .350. Zander Weil was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .320. Omar Bencomo struck out six in six innings, giving up two runs on five hits and no walks. His ERA is 2.41. Brusdar Graterol struck out ten in 5.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk. His ERA is 0.63. Calvin Faucher pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk. I've found myself checking schedules and mapping out the drive from here to Cedar Rapids a couple of times recently.
Looks like he has no issues with control, with one walk this season so far.

His plate discipline has improved some in May. In April he had 3:12 BB:K; so far in May it's up to 6:11. I hope they move him up before the All-Star break.
I have no idea what more they think they need to see. And the Rochester second baseman, Taylor Featherston, is batting .152, so it's not like anybody's blocking him. Whatever they think he still needs to work on, he can work on it in AAA.
