Minor Details: Games of June 18

Miguel Sano has a successful Fort Myers debut, but Luis Arraez was better.  Yeltsin Encarnacion has a big day as the GCL Twins win their opener.  Unearned runs sink the DSL Twins.

No game scheduled.  The Southern League all-star game is tonight.

FORT MYERS 6, TAMPA 5 IN FORT MYERS

The Miracle led 4-1 through five, but the Tarpons scored five in the sixth to go up 5-4.  Brandon Lopez singled home a run in the eighth to tie it.  In the ninth, Miguel Sano doubled and scored on a Jaylin Davis single to win it for Fort Myers.

Luis Arraez was 4-for-5.  Sano was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.  Lewin Diaz was 2-for-4 with a double.  Ben Rortvedt was 0-for-4 and is batting .316.

Andro Cutura pitched very well for five innings, but he also started the sixth.  He struck out nine in 5.2 innings, but allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks.  Alex Robinson struck out two in two perfect innings.  His ERA is 2.70.

CEDAR RAPIDS KERNELS

No game scheduled.  The Midwest League all-star game is tonight.

GCL TWINS 7, GCL ORIOLES 5 AT TWINS

The Orioles led 5-0 after three and a half, but the Twins scored one in the fourth and five in the fifth to go into the lead for good.  Kidany Salva hit a two-run single in the inning.

Yeltsin Encarnacion was 3-for-4 with a triple and a double, scoring three times.  Salva was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.  Alberoni Nunez was 2-for-4.

Andriu Marin pitched four innings, allowing five runs on nine hits and a walk and striking out three.  Amilcar Cruz pitched three shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out two.  Tanner Howell struck out three in two perfect innings.

DSL NATIONALS 9, DSL TWINS 3 AT TWINS

The Nationals scored in each of the first three innings and added three in the sixth to build a 7-0 lead.  The Twins made four errors in the game, leading to five unearned runs.

Jeferson Morales was 2-for-3 with a triple and two walks.  He is batting .406.  Jesus Feliz was 2-for-5 with a double.  Luis Milla was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .300.

Jose Bermudez struck out six in four innings but allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and three walks.
