  1. btw, saw a Wild shirt in one of the gates at the airport on Kauai. Not all that coincidental -- I identified several 'sotans begrudgingly on their way back to Winter again.

  2. I got an email about renewing the SBG fantasy baseball league. Is there continued interest in playing this year?

  3. To my surprise, during yesterday's Twins game, Bert Blyleven said he's in favor of the pitch clock.

    1. I think he (like many others) believes the slowdown is with the batters, not the pitchers. There are individual exceptions, of course.

I had forgotten Kaat's later career penchant for pitching as soon as the batter steps into the box. Like usual, it's amazing how a former player can discuss interesting topics if the right person would actually draw that out of him.

  4. Father Knows BestParents Sometimes Know Something has been delayed a wee bit. I forget when I was supposed to have it done. Aiming for this weekend.

  5. Did anybody else see the video of the Equifax CEO yesterday? It was liked watching a movie. I expected him to pound the table and about he ordered the Code Red.

  6. I watched the Wild game last night. Part of me is sad to see Granlund, Nino and Coyle go, but honestly that core group has done a decent job making the playoffs each year, but has failed to do damage in the playoffs. When you look at salary cap issues, these moves have given the organization much more flexibility to do things down the road, which is needed. Watching the Wild the past 6 years had been like a bad dream over and over and over. Nice to get some new blood in the fold outside of just the fringe pieces we have changed out in past years. I am sure the trio who just left will have spurts of success in their new surroundings, and Fenton will take some heat for that, but we have proven over and over again that the group was unable to go to the next level here. Wish them all the best of luck and hopefully some of these younger guns reach their respective developmental ceilings.

    1. Agree. Disappointed in the Neidermeyer trade and who they got in return but obviously something needed to be done to shake this team up.
