ROCHESTER 4, LEHIGH VALLEY 1 IN LEHIGH VALLEY

Zander Weil hit a three-run homer in the fourth to give the Red Wings a 4-0 lead.

Batting stars:  Weil was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer (his fourth) and two runs.  Adam Rosales was 2-for-4 with a double.

Pitching stars:  Zack Littell struck out nine in 5.2 innings, giving up six hits and a walk.  Mike Morin pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit.  Matt Magill pitched a perfect inning and struck out one.  Preston Guilmet struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up two hits.

Pitching stars:  Griffin Jax pitched six innings, giving up one run on five hits and three walks and striking out five.  Gabriel Moya struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up two hits.

Opposition star:  Trent Grisham was 2-for-4.

Stats:  Luis Arraez was 0-for-5 and is batting .321.  Contreras is batting .300.  Jax has an ERA of 0.54.  Moya has an ERA of zero.

Record:  The Blue Wahoos are 10-4.

BILOXI 4, PENSACOLA 3 IN BILOXI (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)

Michael O'Neill's RBI single in the fourth broke a 3-3 tie.

Michael Helman hit a two-run homer with two out in the bottom of the ninth for the walkoff win.

Pitching stars:  Bailey Ober struck out six in six innings, giving up an unearned run on five hits and a walk.  Hector Lujan struck out four in 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up a walk.

Opposition star:  Riley O'Brien pitched seven shutout innings, giving up four hits and three walks and striking out five.

Stats:  Lewin Diaz was 1-for-4 and is batting .381.  Ober has an ERA of zero.  Johan Quezada retired the only man he faced and has an ERA of 1.35.
