  1. The HR Differential is now 82 (on the way to 116). HR lead over NYY is down to 25. Meanwhile, we've passed the 1964 team and have one more MN team to go -- the 1963 bashers.

    • HR Leaders: Killebrew 45 (1), Allison 35 (3), Hall 33 (4), Battey 26 (t10), Mincher 17, Rollins 16, Power 10, Versalles 10
    • grand slams: Killebrew 2, Mincher 1, Power 1
    • inside-the-park: Power 1, Hall 1
    • PH HR: Wertz 2, Green 1, Hall 1
    • pitchers HR: Kaat 1, Dailey 1
    • home/road: 112/113 -- Killebrew 26/19, Battey 16/10 vs Allison 15/20, Hall 13/20
    • RH/LH: 192/33(!) -- Killebrew 36/9

NYY were second in the AL in HR that year with 188.

  2. By the end of the week the Twins will either be:

    6 Game Lead
    4 Game Lead
    2 Game Lead
    Tied
    2 Games Behind

I don't see us losing 6 games in a row.

Optimism from Geoff? Did you forget to log into Jeff's account for this lte? /winks

      1. He's really screwing with us. If I see socal start swearing, I will be looking for Travolta and Cage, Face-Off style.

  3. MNUFC beat Portland for the second time in 4 days and go to the US Cup Open final. Some heart in throat moment as Portland strikes the post in last seconds of the game. Plus Loons announce the signing of an international young star. This team should be fun to watch over the next few years.

    1. I need to start watching more. I missed this one, but saw the second half of the previous game and it was a lot of fun.
