The Saints took a 6-0 lead after two and were comfortably ahead the rest of the way.

Batting stars:  Tomas Telis was 4-for-6 with a home run (his second), a double, three runs, and three RBIs.  Ryan Jeffers was 2-for-5 with a home run (his fourth), a walk, three runs, and three RBIs.  Ben Rortvedt was 2-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, two runs, and two RBIs.  Brent Rooker was 2-for-6 with a home run (his fourth) and three RBIs.  J. T. Riddle was 1-for-4 with a three-run homer and a walk.

Pitching stars:  Bailey Ober struck out five in five innings, giving up a run on four hits and no walks.  Ian Hamilton struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.  Robinson Leyer pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and striking out one.

The Cardinals scored two in the fourth to take a 4-1 lead.

Pitching star:  Jonathan Cheshire pitched a scoreless inning despite giving up two hits and two walks.

Opposition stars:  Ivan Herrera was 2-for-3 with a home run (his third), two walks, and two RBIs.  Nick Plummer was 2-for-3 with a home run (his third), a walk, and two runs.  Alvaro Seijas pitched six innings, giving up two runs on five hits and three walks and striking out three.  The Cardinals hit five home runs.

Starter:  Bryan Sammons struck out six in four innings but allowed four runs on five hits and two walk.s
