2022 Game Log 17 — Tigers at Twins

So the heat generated by the Twins taking the Jaspers to the White Sox nor the smoking hot men's sports weekend wasn't enough to warm Minnesota's temperatures so we will have another chilly night at Target Field for the Tigers. I'd like to hit a game soon but could at least like something in the 60s.

Tigers in town for the first time this year with Miguel Cabrera in the 3000 hit, 500 homer club. The Tigers should start to be a little better this year although their 6-9 start isn't so nice.

LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (0-1, 5.27) for the Tigers and RHP Chris Paddack (0-2, 5.00) for the Twins. The Twins have scored exactly zero runs in games that Paddack has pitched in so hopefully that changes tonight.

First Pitch at 6:40. Bring a warm coat if you go to the game.

Twins Lineup
DH - Buxton
SS - Correa
2B - Polanco
LF - Garlick
3B - Urshela
RF - Kepler
1B - Sano
C - Jeffers
CF - Celestino

  1. Thought I'd watch a game for the first time this year instead of listening, so through the magic of [transmission lost] I've got the ol'powder blues on the big screen. Go Twins

      1. I am remembering Batista celebrating a huge walkoff win and then getting DFAd the next day

    1. Seems to be a pitcher preference thing with other clubs, but I haven’t been tracking if Paddack was using it in his previous outings.

  2. Twins gave up a lead changing HR and 5 minutes later Ja nails a layup for a win against the Wolves

  3. Kepler hit is second double of the season to score a run and hit his second home run of the season to score two more. Báez hit his second double of the season to score a run and hit his second home run of the season to score three more. I would appreciate the symmetry more if they swapped home runs.

  4. Oh, that was well-deserved after those other Minnesota sports moments. Yay sporps!

  5. What was Larnach doing? He should have scored easily on that. No reason to tag up there with one out. Terrible baserunning all around.
