  1. I had to do a little running around and its wild how many radio stations that usually carry the Twins were carrying the Vikings post game show. Finally found good ol 570 AM out of Yankton SD to catch the first inning

    1. Heh. I had to find 570 WNAX to listen to Vikings driving north from Des Moines to home this afternoon. Always dependable.

    1. I am not loving this crew like you are, apparently. They're fine, but not great. I felt like Arod was fine too.

      1. At this point, i would say both less than fine. Some GOML from Pierzynski and Wainwright bemoaning pitchers not pitching deep. It's not happening because max effort wins more games.

      1. New pitcher into the game, catch him off guard? Obviously didn't work. Rocco is new to playoff managing too, right?

        1. If you ignore his 2019 and 2020 (against the Astros no less) postseasons, yes. He is new to this "winning a game" thing.

    1. 37 degree launch angle. Only 89.9 mph exit velocity but better angle probably gets that out in the Crawford boxes.

  2. So save me a Google here
Why didn't Correa stay with Houston? Free agent? Not happy? Been out of the loop

      1. I think the 2021-22 lockout played a part in his FA options & eventual decision to take the Twins offer too.

    1. Houston had Peña ready and Correa was a free agent. That was the offseason with the lockout so Correa, Seager, Semien, and Story were all free agents with Correa expected to sign for a lot. The middle two signed right before the lockout but the other two missed out so Correa didn't get his giant contract then.

  3. These announcers have been very biased towards Houston. Everything they say is in the lens of "this is Houston's chance to score" or "Houston needs to score the next run now"

    C'mon guys

    1. And now it's "setting up the double play" not "here's the twins chance to blow it wide open"

      1. I thought Rocco was telling Castro to walk away, to not argue. Can't afford to get tossed

  4. Great throw by Tucker, bad slide by Correa, but good block by Maldonado to cut off the lane.

    1. I don’t understand the inconsistent application of the rule from one opportunity to the next.

    1. Stevenson is a plus fielder and Wallner is not. The Twins don't need Wallner's bat so preserving the lead takes priority.

    1. Five outs left means either not going to face him again or it's going to be a bases loaded situation in the ninth.

      1. I had the lemon lime flavored prep for my first colonoscopy and haven't been able to drink anything resembling the lemon lime flavored since. Thought of it turns my stomach.

      1. Moon Man at the moment, but will definitely open up a Keeper’s Heart Irish + Bourbon after the third out.

  5. I'm a little surprised that Jeter lets A-Rod sit in the center seat while he sits to the side.

    1. I wasn’t paying attention to the RBI bit when Correa passed Jeter and Papi for the most post season RBIs … and completely forgot that both those dudes were in the studio. go figure ... No acknowledgment of it by them.

      1. Rodriguez is better in the studio than he is as a game analyst. My problem with him in the studio is simply that he seems to always have to try to prove he's the smartest man in the room.

  6. AL East teams have lost their last 10 playoff games. An unimaginable number of consecutive playoff losses.

No MLB team in the eastern time zone has won a single playoff game against a non-eastern time zone team this year.
