2nd inning pinch hitter? Unless I'm missing something, that might be overthinking it.
He didn't even get a single plate appearance. He got one inning in the field before being removed.
And another pinch hitter in the 3rd.
Detroit used an opener so maybe a response to that. Manzardo had the platoon advantage against the opener, Montero, but not against the bulk guy, Hurter. The pinch hitter again had the platoon advantage. I know it's the postseason, but seems desperate.
Another Cleveland pinch hitter and another out. It's like watching Margot in triplicate.
