Dallas at Minnesota. 7pm.
The last basketball game of the calendar year is a big one. Minnesota (15-15)is looking to make a move in the standings after a up and down 2 months and Dallas (17-13) is right in front of them.
Every time I see Dallas play, I say 'that guy is still in the league?!'. Tonight, I will say that about Wayne Ellington.
This game is the first of a three game home stand for the Wolves, their first of the season. The schedule makers really have not been kind to home locals.
Wolves in LA, part 1. 9:30ish

The Wolves travel to LA and just like earlier this year, the schedule is kind because they get an off day in between the Lakers and Clippers games.
No more talk of the long losing streak to the Lakers and hey, maybe the local can get their own 53 game winning streak! Rubio is playing, but is battling 'illness' and of course no Kobe for the Lakers. Moar Wes Johnson!

Portland at Minnesota. Battle of the Power Forwards. Kevin Love -v- LaMarcus Aldridge. This should be a fun battle. For a change, Minnesota is the team with a home off day while the visitors are on the back end of a back-to-back. Portland is scorching hot, with a league high 22 wins. The Wolves are coming off a poor loss to Boston and sit at 11-12.

The last time our fearless five played a game, the cost of a gallon of gasoline was $1.30 , a jug of milk was $1 and a dozen eggs were a quarter.
Ok, that is an exaggeration, but after a malfunction in Mexico City that lead to the game being cancelled the Wolves have not played a game in 6 days.
The Miami Heat come to town and while most everyone wants to see Lebron James, I am more interested in seeing Michael Beasley. That goofball has a place in my basketball heart. The Beeze is having a good season coming off the bench with a career high .157 Win Shares/48.

Nuggets at Wolves. 7pm
The Wolves are in a bit of a tailspin of late. many back to backs coupled with tough opponents has lead to losses and some worry in Timberwolves land. Dont fear, this is still a good team with good players. Its still early enough in the season to right the ship and move towards the playoffs.
Since the last gamelog, the Wolves shipped Derrick Williams out west to Sacramento for Luc Mbah a Moute. Hopefully, the move will lead to a better effort from the second stringers
