going through what was added to my library this year, not a lot of it was actually released in 2011. however, here's one that i've played a lot more than i thought i would of have.

this was the only song i really had in my head to play this week, but the hitman went ahead and played him recently. i'm gonna go ahead and ignore it, and play this track anyway as i'm driving up to the cities today.

and a big thanks to the CoC for mannin' the cans last week.
tonight's the company holiday party. i'm on the "party committee" simply so i can influence things for my own maximum enjoyment. anyway, before joining my current corporate company, i worked pretty much exclusively in restaurants and bars. my current company, by far, throws the most fancy, lavish, distinguished, and expensive (i know our budget) parties i've ever been party to. yet, they are also the most boring holiday parties i've attended by far. ah well. i can still make some fun of it.

i'd never really heard of ms. nyro before her HoF nomination. perhaps that's worth changing. congratulations on getting in.

i was listening to an NPR interview with a film scorer, and they discussed the music in the third man, which i hadn't seen (sorry, filmbuffs) and hadn't heard before. pretty sweet story behind mr. karas.

i'd heard of a zither, but hadn't seen one. while listening to the interview and music, i thought, "that might be something fun to learn how to play." after seeing this clip, i thought, "nnnnoooope."
well, that was fun. anyway, back to the daily grind...
