One Delmonstration couldn't put a damper on Thome's 599th and 600th.

I'm here in LA, after the most difficult goodbye I've ever said (with Skim, who cried in a way I've never seen anyone cry). I have no heart to lie here, so I'll just say it: no matter how it goes in Los Angeles, I don't think I'll last long before moving back. I simply cannot be away from them.

My plans today include waking up at 5:30 for Stoke-Chelsea, using that time to finish packing what isn't in my van already, and leaving for LA in time to arrive at my new home around 6pm. I'm predicting none of it working out correctly.

The season starts today, both for those who were waiting for the season, and also those who have only just recently started hating baseball.

Two days from the move, and I've been losing sleep wondering how I'll survive away from the girls. I just don't know how long I'll last out there.

Last night I sent out about a billion (estimated) emails to people in the entertainment biz. My first reply was from a girl who's doing a documentary on former baseball mascots. Well, of course it was.

Last night, Skim and I were putting in the in-laws' backyard green. That was one of many things yesterday that was better than the game.

Time to start bringing those offseason hobbies into the forefront, methinks.
