Four wins in a row, six loses in a row, back to four wins in a row. Talk about a roller coaster. Twins up against the reeling Red Sox and looking to keep that roller coaster on the upward. Hopefully the plunge isn't against the upcoming series against the Whities.
Red Sox have been bad this year, which given their resources, really speaks to the disorganization in the dugout and front office. I'm not even sure what the plan is with that team. Pitching for the Red Sox is Kutter Crawford who frankly would struggle to even make it on the Twins starting rotation. Chris Archer for the Twins and he's alternated between 4 and 5 innings his last few outings. So he's on tap for a 5 inning stint tonight.
Looks like glorious weather for a game with a first pitch slated at 6:40p.
Twins Lineup
It's the August of our discontent in Twins Territory. The team itself is playing lousy, not fun baseball, Emilio Pagan is still on the team, Buxton either seems to hit an epic HR or feebly strikes out. Twins have fallen 2 games back from the hardly trying Guardians and tied with the underperforming White Sox (also how did both teams end up having played two more games than the Twins?) Here at the WGOM, most game logs seem the have a "in progress" tag if they show up at all.
Hopefully nothing better to fix that than an even more lackluster Royals team. After yesterday's win, hopefully the Twins have the wind in their sails. Zach Grienke for the Royals in probably his last season. Sonny Gray up for the Twins and he's been hands down the best pitcher for the Twins this year.
Another 6:40p start on what should be a nice night. Here' hoping the Twins can build on yesterday's win and start to play some fun, winning baseball.

We are knee deep in the dog days of summer. Todays weather finally reminded us of that. There are other signs: lots of coworkers on vacation, county fairs and town festivals every weekend, only the diehards left cheering on the local baseball team as they limp towards another disappointing season.
Who are these fellas pitching tonight? TJ House is left handed, in his first Major League season, and his longest outing is 6.2 innings. Baseball-Reference tells me Kris Johnson has started two games for the Twins this season. I remember watching the games, but I'll be darned if I can recall anything about those games. Maybe Im scared by Ricky Nolasco giving up two out runs so many times this year.... I dont know.
Remodeled basement. Same half-baked taste.
