Here are a couple of tracks from Dr. Dog's newest album, B-Room. I haven't had time to really dive into the new stuff yet so I lack an opinion. I do recommend seeing them live, and it just so happens they're hitting some of the WGOM's hometowns this winter, with two shows at First Ave.

Julia Holter – Four Gardens
With her stellar combo (cello, violin, horn and drums) in London, 2013. My favorite new artist. She's definitely not easy listening, but if you have an adventurous ear-you just might fall for her experimental mix of dream pop, classical and free jazz. I sure did. Call it space age chamber music.

seriously though, i've been listening to this album the past couple weeks, and i love it more each time. there's definitely a lot of wholesale lifting going on, but it's all done with a wink and a nod, and mashed together in this awesome, unholy amalgam.
