Two big innings are enough for the Miracle. Anthony Marzi leads the Kernels. Edwar Colina is pitching well for Elizabethton. The GCL Twins lose in part because of the goofy extra-innings rule. Walks and errors give the DSL Twins a win.

Minor Details: Games of July 2
Zack Granite keeps hitting. Levi Michael leads the Lookouts to a sweep. Big innings lead to a doubleheader split for Fort Myers. Griffin Jax makes a very successful first start for Cedar Rapids. Not much offense for the E-Twins.

An eight-run inning gives the Red Wings a split. Clark Beeker is quietly having a very good year. Gore is heating up for Elizabethton. Nick Tepesch continues to struggle in rehab appearances.
LEHIGH VALLEY 2, ROCHESTER 1 IN LEHIGH VALLEY (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)
The Red Wings got a run in the second, but J. P. Crawford tripled and scored in the third and three singles produced an IronPig run in the fourth. Rochester did not get a baserunner after the second inning, as their last sixteen men were retired.
Tim Melville pitched a six inning complete game, giving up two runs on five hits and four walks with two strikeouts. The lone Red Wing hit was a double by ByungHo Park. Zack Granite was 0-for-4, dropping his average to .362.
ROCHESTER 9, LEHIGH VALLEY 0 IN LEHIGH VALLEY (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)
Leading 1-0 after five, the Red Wings had an eight-run inning in the sixth to put the game out of reach. Matt Hague had a two-run double and Niko Goodrum had a two-run single in the inning.
It was a bullpen game for Rochester, but it worked. D. J. Baxendale struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up three hits. Michael Tonkin pitched 1.1 scoreless innings to drop his ERA to 2.38. Jake Reed retired all five men he faced to keep his ERA at zero and make his WHIP 0.47 in 6.1 innings. Mason Melotakis pitched a scoreless inning, keeping his ERA at zero with a WHIP of 0.30 in 3.1 innings. Mitch Garver was 2-for-3 with a walk. Zack Granite was 2-for-4 with a triple to make his average .364. Matt Hague and J. B. Shuck were each 2-for-4 with a double.
CHATTANOOGA AT MISSISSIPPI
The game was suspended after two and a half innings due to rain. It will be complete today as part of a doubleheader.
ST. LUCIE AT FORT MYERS
Rained out.
CLINTON 2, CEDAR RAPIDS 1 IN CLINTON (11 INNINGS)
Hank Morrison homered in the second to give the Kernels a 1-0 lead. It held up until the fifth, when Bryson Brigman's RBI single tied the score. It remained 1-1 until the eleventh, when Yojhan Quevedo hit a one-out walkoff home run. Cedar Rapids had left the bases loaded in the fifth but did not get a man past first the rest of the game.
Clark Beeker had another good game, pitching six innings and giving up one run on six hits and no walks with five strikeouts. His ERA is 2.79 with a WHIP of 1.03 in 87 innings. Alex Robinson struck out four in 1.2 scoreless innings. He has 47 strikeouts in 35.2 innings. Max Cordy struck out two in 2.1 innings to make his ERA 2.88. Cedar Rapids had eight hits, but no one had more than one. Morrison's homer was his third. Gorge Munoz was 1-for-4 to make his average .320.
ELIZABETHTON 7, DANVILLE 4 IN DANVILLE
The Twins scored in four of the first five innings to take a 5-0 lead through four and a half. It was 6-1 when the Braves scored three in the sixth to cut the margin to 6-4. Brent Rooker homered in the seventh to round out the scoring.
Melvi Acosta struck out six in six innings but allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits and no walks. Calvin Faucher struck out six in three shutout innings to keep his ERA at zero. His WHIP is 0.75 and he has 11 strikeouts in 5.1 innings. Mark Contreras was 3-for-4 with a double and is batting .300. Carson Crites was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk. Rooker was 2-for-5 and the home run was his third. Jordan Gore was 1-for-2 with two walks and is batting .600. Andrew Cosgrove was 1-for-4 and is batting .333. Colton Waltner made his professional debut and was 0-for-2 with two walks. Small sample size and all that, but Gore batted ninth with a .667 OBP. Leadoff batter T. J. Dixon has an OBP of .278.
GCL TWINS 8, GCL RED SOX 4 AT RED SOX
The Twins got two in the first and got RBI singles from Victor Tademo and Alex Robles in the third to take a 4-0 lead. The Red Sox scored three in the third and it stayed 4-3 until the seventh, when Akil Baddoo had an RBI triple and later scored to make it 6-3. The Red Sox got one back in the bottom of the sixth on a Pedro Castellanos homer, but the Twins scored two more in the eighth on Baddoo's two-run single to put the game out of reach.
Nick Tepesch made a rehab start and pitched 2.1 innings, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks with two strikeouts. His ERA is now 24.00 in two games (three innings). Juan Mojica pitched 2.2 scoreless innings. Matz Schutte pitched two shutout innings. Baddoo was 4-for-5 with a triple, scoring three times and driving in three. He is batting .364. Robles was 3-for-5 and is batting .385. Jean Carlos Arias was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .462. Royce Lewis was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and three runs and is batting .350. Jhon Alvarez was 0-for-2 with two walks and is 0-for-9 on the season.
DSL TWINS AT DSL CARDINALS
This was scheduled to be a doubleheader, but it was suspended after one and a half innings of the first game. The Twins had scored three runs in the second to take a 3-0 lead.

Elizabethton gets its second consecutive extra-inning win. The GCL Twins get all the runs they need in the first as three pitchers combine for a shutout. Jesus Toledo pitches four shutout innings as the DSL Twins win.

A seven-team sweep! ByungHo Park drives in the winning run for the Red Wings. Kohl Stewart makes a triumphant return to the Lookouts. Max Murphy is on a tear for the Miracle. Sean Poppen, who is quietly having a fine year, and Gorge Munoz lead the Kernels. Trey Cabbage leads the E-Twins to an extra-inning win. Pedro Garcia and Vadim Balan combine for a shutout for the GCL Twins. A nine-run inning carries the DSL Twins.

Dillon Gee makes his organizational debut. Jonathan Rodriguez and Stephen Gonsalves lead the Lookouts. A big inning pops the Kernels. Five no-hit innings for Edwar Colina. Almost all the action was in the first inning for the GCL Twins. Fredderi Soto pitches five shutout innings.
