  1. If Isaac is enjoying its stay in KC as much as it has in StL, it's going to be ugly conditions for ball. We've had >2" of rain, although virtually none of it in any concentrated downpour.

    1. I looked at the radar. Looked like there was a line of storms basically circling MO. Western edge was lighter and it had looked like it was passing KC by, not to return.

Actually, it looks like the weather-map hurricane symbol. One arm north from KC to Chicago, one arm south from South Central IL to Little Rock.

    1. Although I doubt it is a day off unless rain keeps the second game from being played today.

  2. The game I was supposed to cover this afternoon was postponed due to heat, so I guess I'm here for the long haul. Thanks to ridiculous blackout rules, I can't even enjoy MLB.tv for Game 1 and Gameday keeps crashing on me. At least the Audio is working, for now.

    1. I'm Runner daughter's hero (for the day) for finally getting her browser to work again; it's been horribly slow loading, and after trying several things I discovered that I needed to modify the McAfee firewall to allow Google Chrome full access instead of Outgoing only. Yeah, me neither.

  3. Anyone else still holding their breath for the Consuela Countup to be brought up-to-date? Maybe sean is holding out until tonight so he can do multiple updates all at once.

  4. Morneau was coming up with the bases loaded when my Internet connection cut out. Obviously, I'm back now, but that's very frustrating. Oh well, at least the Twins scored more than I expected.

  5. if I were an outfielder and Jamey Carroll was up, I would stand about 50 feet behind the infield dirt.

  6. I noticed FSN has a new 'bug' on the upper right hand corner of the screen.
but they still use Fielding Percentage when showing a defense graphic.

  7. it was almost a good afternoon. Iowa ended up winning and Wisconsin survived a scare, but at least the Twins won.

    next game in 20 minutes
