Game summary:  Alex Castellanos (Dodgers) singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.

Game summary:  A two-run double by Luis Rodriguez (Seattle) capped a three-run eighth that gave Caracas a 6-5 lead.

Caracas:  Henry Wrigley (Tampa Bay) was 4-for-5.  Daniel Mayora (San Francisco) was 3-for-5, scoring twice and driving in one.

Margarita:  Max Ramirez (Kansas City) was 3-for-5.  Edgar Duran (Philadelphia) was 2-for-2 with a double and a walk, driving in one.

LARA 8, ANZOATEGUI 7 IN LARA

TwinsEduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

Game summary:  A four-run fifth put Lara ahead 7-4 and a run in the sixth made it 8-4.  Anzoategui scored three in the eighth, but could not tie the score.

Anzoategui:  Luis Oliveros was 2-for-4 with a double, driving in two.  Jose Castillo was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.

Lara:  Joe Thurston was 3-for-3 with two doubles and two walks, scoring twice and driving in two.  Jairo Perez was 2-for-5 with a double and a two-run homer.

Game summary:  Zulia scored five in the first.  Magallanes scored two in the sixth to make the score 6-5, but there it stayed.
