Alex Cabrera basically defeats Zulia all by himself.

LA GUAIRA 6, ZULIA 2 IN ZULIA

La Guaira:  Alex Cabrera was 3-for-3 with a walk and three home runs (his sixth, seventh, and eighth), driving in four.  Carlos Sanchez (White Sox) was 2-for-4.

Zulia:  Sandy Leon (Washington) was 2-for-4.  Roy Merritt pitched five innings of relief, allowing one run on two hits and two walks with four strikeouts.

The game:  Cabrera hit a two-run homer in the first to give La Guaira a 2-0 lead.  Zulia scored single runs in the third and fifth to tie it.  Cabrera hit a solo shot in the sixth to put La Guaira back up 3-2.  It stayed there until the ninth, when Cabrera struck again to make it 4-2.  An error, a single, a wild pitch, a sacrifice fly, and a squeeze bunt plated two more to put the game out of reach.
