J. Berrios
SSS, but 2-0, 0.59 ERA, 0.39 WHIP, 15:2 K:BB
.082/.167/.122 against ... nice.

C. Tillman
also SSS, but 1-0, 3.52 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 12:7 K:BB
.267/.348/.333 against
Game 1 featured offense. Game 2 featured defense. Game 3 features special teams combo platter? At 13-5, the Twins have the best road winning percentage in all of baseball. I suppose it goes without saying that 14-5 is better ... no?
Happy Berrios Day! Day game alert!

I like this inning so far. Deep counts, runs scored, patience. All good things.
I hope Jose didn't start warming up too early...
That is a notable component of home-field advantage. The home starter knows exactly when he'll start pitching and can go straight from warmups to the game. The road pitcher doesn't. You have to do some guessing on when the bottom half of the inning will start.
At the same time, I imagine delaying your first pitch because your team scored a bunch of runs for you is a low stress reason for having to guess.
Didn't hurt him too badly in that first inning.
I kind of like this Tillman guy.
Better enjoy him while you can. At ten pitches per out, he's not going to last long.
Almost ten pitches per run too.
Really glad they bobbled that ball. It would have been pretty annoying for Kepler to double but no run scored because Dozier made a rather dumb baserunning decision.
Berrios mowing them down.
Polanco is gonna win a Snapper today.
JJ, there's no one left in the FO for you to take revenge against -- back off a bit, huh?
I blame Nibbish.
As well you should.
Still mowing 'em down,. though.
Whoa, that strikeout pitch to Joseph was nasty.
The Twins should not be allowed to lose any game in which Vargas gets an infield single.
We'll see if they agree with you...
Looks like they did. So back to needing to win!
I would have been shocked if they hadn't given him a hit since he hit it to the empty spot I don't think there was any chance to make that play with anything other than the ability to move as fast as a locomotive.
6 innings, 2 hits, 2 walks, 7 strikeouts.
Might not be his best stuff, but that's pretty tasty.
I'll be hoping for some insurance runs depending on who comes in, though.
wow -- just a fraction of a second after I hung up my conf. call and unmuted MLB audio, boom. My bad, guys.
We'll only lynch you if they lose. We'll make it slow and tedious.
Like a Kennys Vargas infield single.
That's the Orioles for ya.
You know what they say, three solo home runs can't hurt you if you score four runs.
So I hear!
Oh boy. Well this could stop, please.
Well, the Twins haven't made any outs with runners in scoring position the last couple of innings, so Atteberry can stop talking about that.
According to Twins media, the only way to score runs is to get a hit with runners in scoring position.
I mean, it was part of the story of the game, and I'm fine with Atteberry reporting it. But there's a difference between reporting it and constantly harping on it.

Whew. Hope Davis enjoyed the view.
And, breeeeeaaathhhh
at least we have a lights out closer. I miss Nathan.
Err, heck, don't even have to go that far back. I miss a healthy Perkins.
If the third baseman's that far in, pull the bat back and slap one past him.
Had them all the way!
That was some nice heads-up-ness by Kintzler to not touch that ball.
Maybe, but it wasn't exactly routine for Dozier to get to it.
Jack Morris with a gem "The hardest game to win for a sweep is the last game"
Indians blow a lead in the ninth, so Twins now 2 games up in first place.
