Minor Details: Games of July 21

STORM CHASERS 5, SAINTS 4 IN OMAHA

Omaha scored three in the ninth to win it.  Logan Porter hit a two-run double to end the game.

Andrew Stevenson was 2-for-5.

Simeon Woods Richardson pitched five innings, giving up two runs on five hits and striking out four.
Cody Laweryson struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up two hits.
Michael Boyle pitched a scoreless inning, walking one and striking out one.

SOD POODLES 3, WIND SURGS 2 IN AMARILLO

Wichita trailed 3-0 before scoring single runs in the eighth and ninth.  They had the bases loaded with one out in the ninth, but a double play ended the game.

Will Holland was 2-for-3 with a double.
Yunior Severino was 2-for-4.
David Banuelos hit a home run, his seventh.

Marco Raya struck out four in four innings, giving up one run on two hits.
Pierson Ohl struck out seven in four innings, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks.

KERNELS 8, CHIEFS 5 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Cedar Rapids scored four in the first to take a 4-1 lead.  Kala'i RosarioBen Ross, and Jorel Ortega all homered in the inning.

Noah Miller was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer (his fifth), a walk, and two runs.
Willie Joe Garry, Jr. was 2-for-3 with a home run (his third), two runs, and two RBIs.
Rosario hit a two-run homer, his thirteenth.
Ross hit a home run, his fourteenth.
Ortega hit a home run, his fourth.

Zebby Matthews struck out six in six innings, giving up three runs on five hits.
Niklas Rimmel struck out four in two perfect innings.

MARAUDERS 11, MIGHTY MUSSELS 3 IN BRADENTON

Bradenton scored four in the third to take a 5-0 lead.  Fort Myers did not get a hit until the ninth, when they scored all three of their runs.

No Fort Myers player had more than one hit.

Jarret Whorff pitched 2.1 innings, allowing five runs on six hits and four walks and striking out four.
Develson Aria struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up two walks.

FCL RED SOX 9, FCL TWINS 4 AT TWINS (COMPLETION OF SUSPENDED GAME)

The Red Sox scored four in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie.

Isaac Pena was 4-for-5 with two runs.
Jose Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.

John Klein pitched 2.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits and striking out two.
Zarion Sharpe struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit.
Julio Bonilla pitched a perfect inning.

FCL TWINS 6, FCL RED SOX 3 AT TWINS (SCHEDULED GAME--7 INNINGS)

Jose Rodriguez homered in the fifth to break a 3-3 tie.

Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a home run (his fourth), a double, and two runs.

Zarion Sharpe pitched two innings, giving up one run on two hits and striking out two.
Matt Gabbert struck out four in four shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk.

DSL PHILLIES RED 4, DSL TWINS 2 AT PHILLIES (7 INNINGS)

The Phillies Red scored two in the first and led the rest of the way.

Ewing Matos was 2-for-3 with a triple.

Leonardo Lugo pitched three innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on one hit and two walks and striking out two.

SAINTS 6, STORM CHASERS 5 IN OMAHA

St. Paul scored four in the seventh to take a 5-2 lead.  Andrew Bechtold hit a two-run homer and Kyle Garlick hit a two-run double in the inning.  Omaha scored two in the ninth and had the tying run on third when the game ended.

Garlick was 2-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, and three RBIs.
Austin Martin was 2-for-5.
Trevor Larnach hit a home run, his eighth.
Bechtold hit a two-run homer, his eighth.

Brent Headrick pitched three innings, giving up one run on hit and four walks.
Austin Brice pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

WIND SURGE 4, SOD POODLES 1 IN AMARILLO

Jake Rucker hit a two-run homer in the eighth to give Wichita a 4-0 lead.

Yunior Severino was 3-for-5 with a home run (his eighteenth), a double, and two runs.
Rucker was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, his sixth.
Yoyner Fajardo was 2-for-4.

David Festa struck out six in three shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.

MIGHTY MUSSELS 11, MARAUDERS 7 IN BRADENTON (10 INNINGS)

Fort Myers scored five in the tenth to break a 6-6 tie.

Rafael Cruz was 4-for-5 with a home run (his fifth), a double, two runs, and four RBIs.
Gregory Duran was 3-for-4 with a home run (his third), two doubles, a walk, and four runs.
Yohander Martinez was 2-for-3 with a walk.
Ricardo Olivar was 2-for-5 with a home run (his seventh) a walk, and two runs.
Kyle Schmidt was 2-for-5 with two runs.
Rubel Cespedes was 2-for-6.
Carson McCusker was 2-for-6 and is batting .371.

Jose Olivares struck out eight in 4.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and four walks.
Johnathan Lavallee pitched 2.1 innings, giving up one run on one hit and two walks and striking out one.

FCL PIRATES 8, FCL TWINS 7 AT PIRATES

The Pirates scored three in the bottom of the ninth to win it.  One scored on a bases-loaded walk and the other two scored on an error.

Emmanuel Rodriguez was 4-for-5 with a triple, a double, and two RBIs.
Yasser Mercedes hit a home run, his fourth.

Brayan Medina pitched five innings, giving up two runs on three hits and two walks and striking out four.

DSL GIANTS BLACK 18, DSL TWINS 13 AT TWINS

The Twins took a 9-0 lead in the first and couldn't hold it.  The Giants scored seven in the fourth to get back into it, tied it 12-12 with two in the sixth, and took the lead to stay with two in the seventh.

Javier Roman was 3-for-5 with a home run (his second) and four RBIs.
Angel Trinidad was 3-for-5 with two doubles and two runs.
Ariel Castro was 2-for-6 with a double, two runs, and three RBIs.

Cristian Hernandez pitched three innings, giving up six runs on three hits and four walks and striking out one.

Twins pitchers walked eleven and hit two.
