Minor Details: Games of September 3

CLIPPERS 14, SAINTS 6 IN ST. PAUL (10 INNINGS)

St. Paul led 5-2 through seven.  Columbus scored for in the eighth, Brooks Lee homered in the ninth to tie it 6-6, but Columbus scored eight runs in the tenth.  They had five singles, two walks, and a double in the inning.

Lee was 4-for-4 with a home run (his second), a triple, two runs, and two RBIs.
Yunior Severino was 2-for-3 with two walks.
Alex Kirilloff was 2-for-4 with a home run, his fifth.

Patrick Murphy pitched 5.2 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and four walks and striking out five.
Alex Scherff pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and two walks and striking out one.

WIND SURGE 4, MISSIONS 3 IN WICHITA

Michael Helman singled home the deciding run in the ninth.

Tanner Schobel was 2-for-3 with a walk.
Aaron Sabato hit a home run, his eleventh.

Travis Adams pitched five innings, giving up three runs on five hits and three walks and striking out five.
Taylor Floyd pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.

KERNELS 12, CAPTAINS 0 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Cedar Rapids scored three runs in each of innings five through eight.

Jose Salas was 4-for-4 with a walk, two runs, and two RBIs.
Andrew Cossetti was 2-for-3 with two walks and four runs.
Keoni Cavaco hit a three-run homer, his fifth.

Cedar Rapids had twelve hits and drew nine walks.

Christian MacLeod pitched five shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk and striking out three.
Mike Paredes pitched a perfect inning.
John Stankiewicz struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

THRESHERS 3, MIGHTY MUSSELS 2 IN CLEARWATER

Clearwater scored all their runs in the fifth.  Troy Schreffler hit an inside-the-park home run in the inning.

Ben Ethridge pitched five innings, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks.

Simeon Woods Richardson struck out six in five innings, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks.
Austin Brice struck out three in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Willie Joe Garry, Jr. hit a two-run homer to decide it.
