It apparently isn't an early holiday start--all the games in this series are going to start at this time. My guess is they're hoping an early start will allow families to come and still get the kids to bed at a decent time on a school night.
That makes sense.
POLANCO!!!
Polanco!!!
Polanco in his last 200 PA -
.337 / .383 / .684
18 homers, 13 walks.
I don't keep up with all the new analytics, but that sounds like it might be pretty good.
Heh heh
Put it this way, if he did that over a full season of 600 PA, he'd hit .337 / .383 / .684
Pretty good!
Ah! Now I understand!
Heehee!
BUXTON!!!!
hell yeah Buxton!
Jorge Polanco cycle watch
10 total bases so far. I guess that's alright.
Not that it's a huge deal in a lost season, but I don't understand why you would use Pineda to back up Ober, who has shown he can pitch five or six innings, rather than using him to back up Jax or Gant, who haven't.
Ober was pulled at 59 pitches so makes me think it's a workload issue. He may have looked fatigued.
I'm okay with it. Don't want to break him in a lost season.
