Weezer – A Little Bit of Love
Need some good vibes.
Newer stuff from some guys that have been around a bit now.
Dead Sara – Weatherman
Mother Mother – Hayloft II
Let’s see if I remember how to do this. Plenty of fun “likes” added in Spotify since my last turn at the soundboard. Should be a good week.
July 4, 2022: Independence
For some silly reason (dance) we’re in Orlando for the Fourth of July. Anywho.
Reflect on blessings, citizens; maybe consider the preciousness and potential fragilities of stable, peaceful democracy. No particular reason for that sentiment…
And be safe if you’re blowing things up!
Jimmy Buffett – Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes
We've been debating spring break for a couple months or more. It wasn't pretty. There were a couple nervous breakdowns. We didn't reach consensus and action until Friday, finally settled on itinerary and accommodations. There was a lot of booking and cancelling. We leave Monday.
We feel ridiculous, mostly, at our planning disfunction, but are hopeful for a little fun and relaxation along the beach for a few days. We don't do this, really, so wish us luck.
(Also, best comment I saw on the Jimmy Buffet YouTube: "Being 20 in the Seventies was a lot more fun than being 70 in the Twenties")
Alex Melton – Wonderwall (Blink182 style)
I was never much of an Oasis guy, but was the right age for some Blink-182. I can work with this.
Friday Music Day – 3/25/22 – Soundtrack edition
Today's video is the Rolling Stones - She's A Rainbow, which I "liked" on Spotify after enjoying the soundtrack on Cruella. The movie was enjoyable enough, but the soundtrack really stood out for me, with a groovy, 60's London rock vibe going, and some exposure to tracks and artists (Ike & Tina!) I'm glad to add to my listening.
What's a favorite soundtrack for you, or one that opened you up to some music you needed to be paying attention to?
And drop your lists.
Have a groovy Friday, folks.
The Rolling Stones – She’s A Rainbow
Have you heard of these guys? They seem pretty cool.
