John F. Kieran was a long-time sportswriter in New York and was a panelist on the quiz show "Information, Please".

Fuzzy Hufft had 1,400 hits over seven seasons in the Pacific Coast League and served honorably in both World Wars.

Yunior Severino hit a two-run homer in the first and a three-run homer in the second to give the Saints a 5-0 lead.

Pedro Cisneros was commissioner of the Mexican League from 1982-99 and was the editor of the first Mexican League Encyclopedia.

Homers by Jair Camargo and Patrick Winkel in the sixth inning gave St. Paul a 4-3 lead.  Camargo homered again in the eighth to make it 5-3.  Iowa scored in the ninth and had the tying run on base at the end of the game.

Multi-hit games:  Camargo was 2-for-4 with two home runs.  Winkel was 2-for-4 with a home run.  DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
