Game 130: If it weren’t for the White Sox…
Sheilds (8-8, 3.22 ERA) vs. Correia (8-10, 4.52 ERA)
We've come back around to play the Royals again at the friendly confines of the heat soaked Target Field. I expect big things, really. Fortunately, the White Sox exist, as even with a recent hot streak, they've kept a few games back of the Twins, preventing the dread "last in the crappy AL Central" title to be bestowed upon the Minnesotans. I'm also told that Joe Mauer is eligible to come off the DL from his concussion, but won't be back just yet. So, things are looking level!
Anyway, I haven't really been able to pay a whole lot of attention the past few days. The good news is that the bauble got out of the PICU yesterday and has been steadily getting better. Hopefully he can come home in a few days and I can keep closer tabs on the race to the bottom.
2013 Game 129: Twins at Indians
Scott Kazmir, still kind of serviceable, faces Mike Pelfrey, still kind of not. The Twins need to go 16-18 to reach my preseason hopes of going 73-89. There's really not much left to see this season outside of September callups and the bizarre and fantastic (though likely temporary) comeback of Justin Morneau, but I'm off today, so I may as well see what the Twins are up to. I'll probably favor playoff-implicating games before long, though.
2013 Game 128: Minnesota at Cleveland
Didn't see a game log so here you go. Liam Hendriks, 0-1, 3.94 ERA, is looking to notch his second career win tonight. Zach McAllister, 6-7, 3.59 ERA, will pitch with his right hand for Cleveland. Play ball.
2013 Game 127: Minnesota Twins at Cleveland Indians
Sam Deduno
v
Ubaldo Jimenez
Deduno says he feels great, so we have nothing to worry about now.
Game 126: Twins @ Tigers
Here's a game log. Verlander vs. Albers.
Victory is all but a guarantee.
Game 125: Twins in Motor Kittie City
From what I know the Twins just broke a losing streak, so it must be time for the winning streak to begin!
Korea v Anibal
Go Twins!
Game 124: Something or other
Welp, this team isn't very good. I can't muster up a whole lot of motivation to write much, especially with the return of Pelfrey to Tuesday starts and this morning's discussion of Liriano. Now that we've seemingly jumped all the way in to the August Swoon, its pretty tough to want to dig deep in to things. Also, I'm really tired these days.
