Coming into this year I expected Joe Ryan to take another big step forward. Or maybe a small step, depending on how you already felt about him. Point is, I expected him and Lopez to really lead the way.
That's been the case so far, and hopefully he has another great outing tonight, as the Twins' bats try to do something - anything! - against Jack Flaherty.
Also, I'm just putting this out there: the only two batters hitting at all are Buxton and Jeffers, right? And they're the only two batters who look willing to go the opposite way. I'm thinking we've got some (recurring - we've seen this before) institutional issues in our batting approach that have to get fixed.

It was 1972 and I was almost 13 years old and my best friend and I talked the lady selling tickets at the movie theater into letting us in for an afternoon showing of the new James Bond movie with Sean Connery back playing 007 again. I'll admit that Jill St. John (Tiffany Case) and Lana Wood (Plenty O'Toole) made quite an impression on my adolescent self. So I have fond memories of this particular Bond theme, originally sung by the great Shirley Bassey with notes and melody and stuff by John Barry, lyrics by Don Black

Twins a not nice 6-9 headed into the second game against the Orioles in Baltimore. Baltimore is definitely one of those teams hard to root against. Were terrible for many years but slowly built a team and organization that looks like it could be a force for a couple of years.
Grayson Rodriguez up the Orioles and he's one of those young guys a team can really build around. Tall, a fastball that hits upper 90's with a nice slider to keep hitters honest. Only 24 years old too. Over a strikeout per inning so Twins may have a hard time not adding to their league leading strikeout totals. Chris Paddock on for the Twins and he's done ok this year. Hopefully we can go further than the 5th inning this outing.
