Players of the Week

Rochester:  Evan Bigley was 11-for-26 with two doubles, a home run, and four walks.  For the season, he is hitting .394/.512/.545 in 33 at-bats.

New Britain:  Jonathan Goncalves was 6-for-19 with a double, a triple, and two home runs.  For the season, he is hitting .265/.316/559 in 34 at-bats.

Fort Myers:  Miguel Sano was 8-for-25 with a triple, three homers, and two walks.  For the season, he is hitting .360/.420/742 in 89 at-bats.  Eddie Rosario was 9-for-26 with a double, two triples, a home run, and a walk.  For the season, he is hitting .351./381/.546 in 97 at-bats.  Taylor Rogers made two starts and went 2-0, 1.80, 0.87 WHIP, giving up eleven hits and two walks in fifteen innings.

Cedar Rapids:  Adam Walker was 8-for-21 with a double, a triple, and five home runs.  For the season, he is hitting .297/.373/.608 in 74 at-bats.

Where They Stand

Rochester is 7-14, sixth (last) in the International League North, eight games behind Buffalo.  The Red Wings are 5-5 in their last ten games and have won two consecutive games.

New Britain is 10-10, fifth in the Eastern League Eastern, 1.5 games behind Portland and Reading.  The Rock Cats are 5-5 in their last ten games and have won one consecutive game.

Fort Myers is 16-4, first in the Florida State League South, four games ahead of Palm Beach and St. Lucie.  The Miracle is 6-4 in its last ten games and has won two consecutive games.

Cedar Rapids is 13-5, first in the Midwest League Western, two games ahead of Quad Cities.  The Kernels are 7-3 in their last ten games and have won four consecutive games.

Minor League Players of the Week

Rochester:  Clete Thomas  was 5-for-17 with four walks.  For the season, he is hitting .326/.442/.512 in 43 at-bats.

New Britain:  James Beresford was 9-for-23 with a double and five walks.  For the season, he is hitting .302/.407/.349 in 43 at-bats.

Fort Myers:  Miguel Sano was 8-for-24 with a double, three home runs, and four walks.  For the season, he is hitting .375/.438/.734 in 64 at-bats.

Cedar Rapids:  Niko Goodrum was 7-for-18 with two doubles, a home run, six walks, and a stolen base.  For the season, he is hitting .298/.400/.383 in 47 at-bats.
