Players of the Week

Rochester:  Kyle Gibson pitched eight shutout innings and is working on a streak of eighteen scoreless innings.  For the season, he is 4-5, 2.82, 1.07 WHIP.  He has struck out 53 and walked 17 in 60.2 innings (ten starts).

New Britain:  Danny Santana was 11-for-25 with two doubles, a triple, and a stolen base.  For the season, he is hitting .296/.310/.378 with eight stolen bases in 96 at-bats.

Fort Myers:  Aderlin Mejia was 11-for-26 with four stolen bases.  For the season, he is hitting .390/.439/.441 in 59 at-bats.

Cedar Rapids:  Travis Harrison was 5-for-13 with a double, a home run, and five walks.  For the season, he is hitting .280/.355/.503 with fifteen doubles, seven home runs, and fourteen walks in 161 at-bats.

 

This Week in Twins Transactions

Cole DeVries was activated from the disabled list and optioned to Rochester.

Caleb Thielbar was promoted from Rochester.

Pedro Hernandez was optioned to Rochester.

Trevor Plouffe was placed on the seven-day disabled list with a concussion.

Chris Colabello had his contract selected from Rochester.

Darin Mastroianni was transferred from the fifteen-day disabled list to the sixty-day disabled list.

Vance Worley was optioned to Rochester.

Samuel Deduno was activated from the disabled list by Rochester, then had his contract selected by Minnesota four days later.

Aaron Thompson was promoted from New Britain to Rochester.

Nate Hanson was sent from Rochester to New Britain.

Deibinson Romero was promoted from New Britain to Rochester.

Tim Wood was transferred from the fifteen-day disabled list to the sixty-day disabled list.

Oswaldo Arcia was optioned to Rochester.

Jhon Garcia was transferred by Fort Myers from the seven-day disabled list to the sixty-day disabled list.

Drew Leachman was released by Fort Myers.

Josh Burris was sent from Cedar Rapids to the GCL Twins.

 

The reports all say that P. J. Walters has been called up to Minnesota, and I don't doubt that, but I haven't seen anything on any official lists yet.

Where They Stand

Rochester is 18-28, sixth in the International League North, nine games behind Buffalo and Pawtucket.  The Red Wings have lost two consecutive games and are 4-6 in their last ten games.

New Britain is 21-25, fifth in the Eastern League Eastern, six games behind Portland.  The Rock Cats lost their most recent game and are 1-9 in their last ten games.

Fort Myers is 32-13, first in the Florida State League South, 6.5 games ahead of St. Lucie.  The Miracle has lost two consecutive games and is 5-5 in its last ten games.

Cedar Rapids is 30-14, first in the Midwest League Western, four games ahead of Beloit.  The Kernels lost their most recent game and are 6-4 in their last ten games.
