ROCHESTER

Position player:  Clete Thomas is hitting .362/.456/.621 with four homers and ten walks in 58 at-bats.  Honorable mention goes to Chris Colabello, who's hitting .302/.358/.542 with six homers and nineteen RBIs in 96 at-bats.

Pitcher:  Kyle Gibson is 1-3, but with a 3.33 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP.  He has struck out 26 in 27 innings (five starts).  Honorable mention goes to P. J. Walters, who's 2-2 3.72 with a 1.34 WHIP.  He's struck out 22 in 29 innings (five starts).

NEW BRITAIN

Position player:  Josmil Pinto is hitting .333/.413/.563 with five home runs, twenty-one RBIs, and twelve walks in 96 at-bats.  Honorable mention goes to Daniel Ortiz, who's hitting .293/.347/.500 with eight doubles and eight walks in 92 at-bats.

Pitcher:  Alex Meyer is 2-1, 2.57, 1.32 WHIP with 34 strikeouts in 28 innings (five starts).  Honorable mention goes to A. J. Achter, who is 0-0, 3.68, 1.36 WHIP with one save and 16 strikeouts in 14.2 innings.

FORT MYERS

Position player:  Miguel Sano is hitting .368/.435/.747 with nine home runs, seven doubles, and eleven walks in 95 at-bats.  He also stole two bases.  Honorable mention goes to Eddie Rosario, who is hitting .346/..386/.538 with seven doubles, two triples, three home runs, and seven walks in 104 at-bats.

Pitcher:  D. J. Baxendale is 4-0, 1.84, 0.92 WHIP.  He has struck out 25 and walked six in 29.1 innings (five starts).  Honorable mention goes to Zach Jones, who is 1-0, 1.64, 0.73 WHIP with five saves.  He struck out thirteen and walked three in eleven innings (eight appearances)

CEDAR RAPIDS

Position player:  Byron Buxton is hitting .392/.510/.684 with five doubles, three triples, four home runs, nineteen walks, and nine stolen bases in 79 at-bats.  Honorable mention goes to Adam Walker, who's hitting .284/.356/.593 with three doubles, two triples, six home runs, and eight walks in 81 at-bats.

Pitcher:  Tyler Duffey was 2-1, 2.60, o.76 WHIP.  He struck out 21 and walked 3 in 27.2 innings (four starts).  Honorable mention goes to Steven Gruver, who was 2-0, 1.08, 0.84 WHIP with 22 strikeouts and 3 walks in 16.2 innings (five appearances, one start).

Rochester:  Evan Bigley was 11-for-26 with two doubles, a home run, and four walks.  For the season, he is hitting .394/.512/.545 in 33 at-bats.

New Britain:  Jonathan Goncalves was 6-for-19 with a double, a triple, and two home runs.  For the season, he is hitting .265/.316/559 in 34 at-bats.

Fort Myers:  Miguel Sano was 8-for-25 with a triple, three homers, and two walks.  For the season, he is hitting .360/.420/742 in 89 at-bats.  Eddie Rosario was 9-for-26 with a double, two triples, a home run, and a walk.  For the season, he is hitting .351./381/.546 in 97 at-bats.  Taylor Rogers made two starts and went 2-0, 1.80, 0.87 WHIP, giving up eleven hits and two walks in fifteen innings.

Cedar Rapids:  Adam Walker was 8-for-21 with a double, a triple, and five home runs.  For the season, he is hitting .297/.373/.608 in 74 at-bats.

Where They Stand

A regular Thursday feature, except for when it appears on Friday or some other day.

Rochester is 7-14, sixth (last) in the International League North, eight games behind Buffalo.  The Red Wings are 5-5 in their last ten games and have won two consecutive games.

New Britain is 10-10, fifth in the Eastern League Eastern, 1.5 games behind Portland and Reading.  The Rock Cats are 5-5 in their last ten games and have won one consecutive game.

Fort Myers is 16-4, first in the Florida State League South, four games ahead of Palm Beach and St. Lucie.  The Miracle is 6-4 in its last ten games and has won two consecutive games.

Cedar Rapids is 13-5, first in the Midwest League Western, two games ahead of Quad Cities.  The Kernels are 7-3 in their last ten games and have won four consecutive games.
