The Gulf Coast League gets underway today. There are sixteen teams in the GCL, divided into four four-team divisions. They play a sixty-game schedule which ends on August 29. The four division winners then go to the playoffs. Teams take the name of their parent clubs. The Yankees, imperialists that they are, have two teams, which are designated Yankees1 and Yankees2.
