Danielson – Did I Step on Your Trumpet?
httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxQ3kZRyTug
Danielson (or, rather, the act of listening to music by the Danielson Famile) can occasionally feel like a "weird for its own sake" thing. The dude sings in this weird, awkward, squeaky falsetto, and the lyrics often seem childish on the surface. He often wears a nine foot tall tree costume on stage. There's a lot of depth here, though.
Daniel sings Christian music, but his style is so... different that the mainstream Christian music market has pretty much entirely forsaken him (I recall back in the day, a Christian radio station I listened to called one of his songs the worst song they had ever heard). Then again, Sufjan Stevens has been an on again, off again member of the collective for a long time now, so I guess he must be doing something right.
He was the subject of an occasionally interesting documentary a few years ago, appropriately called Danielson: A Family Movie.
I am expecting divisive opinions regarding this song.
Minor Details: Games of July 16
A big day for Byron Buxton, the first he's had since coming back from the DL. Alex Swim continues to hit. Adam Brett Walker II hits his twentieth.
July 17, 2014: The New Place Across the Street
A month or two ago my wife and I finally decided to try the place across the street and we loved it. We walked over with the kids last night to find out it closed on the 13th. Fantastic.

No players with connections to the Minnesota Twins appear to have been born on this day. However, the original WGOM was born on this day.
We would also like to wish a very happy anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Beau.

Another favorite from this year.
Sorry for the tardiness. Didn't have a chance to schedule anything, and had to rush out the door this morning. At least I got all of the tags right today, I think.
Minor Details: Game of July 15
An excellent start for Jose Martinez. Too many missed opportunities for the DSL Twins. Only one game was actually played.
